2025 Year-End Update

I pray this finds you well and experiencing God’s love, goodness, and joy! I’m grateful that those things are not dependent on our circumstances, but are Kingdom realities for every believer in Jesus.

Here we are at the end of another year and we pause to reflect as well as look forward.
A quick personal note . . . we continue to enjoy our beautiful grandchildren (Samson & Emmie) and our daughter, Victoria, is expecting our 2nd granddaughter next April. To say we are excited is an understatement!
As with last year, we said good-bye to one of our parents - this past May, Kathryn’s mother, Mary, went to be with Jesus. We miss her greatly, but we truly rejoice in the reality of heaven. Thank you to all who helped Kathryn bear this burden of grief through your prayers and condolences!
Now on to the activities of Shannon Smith Ministries. As mentioned last year, since God has brought several financial supporters around us, I believe it is important to give an account of my activities and share the vision God has given me. On the pages that follow, I’ve listed some statistics and goals. As I look over these, I want to give my honest assessment of where this ministry is . . . obviously, some good things have been accomplished and should be celebrated (the new recording, some TV outreach, and of course, every life touched). However, I want to be totally honest with you, this has been the most difficult year of ministry I have ever experienced, at least in terms of staying scheduled, which of course, has affected our revenue. This has led to much soul-searching and God-seeking about the sustainability of what I am doing or at least, how I have been doing it. That searching and seeking continues at the time of this communication and I invite you to join me in prayer about this. I still believe in the call that God gave me to “sing His praise to the ends of the earth” and I still see tremendous value in the gifts and calling God has entrusted to me, but if others don’t see that or if I can’t better “market” it to them, I may have to find another way to support my family and do the ministry in a part-time way.
Having said the above, the heart of this ministry remains the same: “I am passionate about sharing the beauty of Jesus and the life-changing power of His Word through music and the spoken word. This is a “presence of God” ministry and what He does in people’s lives while they are in His presence is priceless! His Word and His Presence experienced through the medium of music have revolutionized my life and I STILL believe they are key to God’s kingdom plan in these last days!”
As you read, I would ask you to prayerfully consider if the Lord would have you partner with me (or continue to) as I follow Him in faith. A YEAR-END gift and/or your MONTHLY support will help me continue to fulfill God’s calling on my life! We have much to accomplish and I want to invite you along on this adventure with God. What’s been accomplished in 2025
82 events (31 were either volunteer or not financially beneficial)
Traveled to 15 different states (31,110 miles)
Finished recording vocals for the new album, Shannon Smith
Preached and sang for a multi-day revival meeting in April 2025
Taught voice lessons and classes at Charles Novel School of Music at Bethel University, McKenzie, TN in June 2025
While I’ve been a licensed/ordained minister for more than 25 years, I had never gone through an official ordination ceremony until this year. So . . . officially ordained with “the laying on of hands” at Word of Life Church, Greensburg, PA in July 2025
Released the album, Shannon Smith, in August 2025 (10 original songs, 3 of which were co-written by Shannon)
2 TV tapings (Babbie’s House with Babbie Mason and Atlanta LIVE at the studios of TV-57 in Atlanta, GA)
13 monthly financial supporters
30 different one-time or intermittent financial supporters
It’s difficult to quantify the spiritual results but suffice it to say that the Lord has used this ministry to lead people to Christ and to comfort, strengthen, and encourage many in their walk with Him. I’ve received testimonies of people being born again, physically healed, and many who received fresh grace in their walk with Jesus through my live events. Many have testified of how the truths in the devotional book, Through, has changed their lives! Others are rejoicing in the worship experiences they are being led into through the new music released on the album, Shannon Smith.
What’s next…
In 2026 I want to see the ministry expand in the following ways:
100 events (some pay for themselves; some make “ministry sense” but not “financial sense” - i.e. prisons, missions trips, some smaller churches, etc.)
Release at least 3 singles from the new album to radio
Record at least 3 songs for an “Influenced” project (more info coming on that)
Release a Christmas EP and/or singles for late 2026
Release lyric videos of the new songs from Shannon Smith (and probably some concept videos as well)
Expand social media knowledge outreach
Create an online community with LIVE music, devotionals, and prayer
Release at least one devotional book
Add at least 50 NEW monthly partners (goal is at least $5000/month in support)
Make at least one international trip (“sing His praise to the ends of the earth”).
Pay off sound equipment and office equipment
Add staff to help on the road and in the office (multi-faceted role)
