I pray that you and yours are well. It seems amazing to me that we’ve come to the end of July and we’re now in August 2025.

Let me start off with a brief testimony . . .
July was a month of miracles for me! Now, in order for there to have been miracles, there had to have been NEEDS. So I’m not saying it was all fun and games - I’m just saying that God is faithful and He really can be trusted. I’ve seen prayers answered nearly every day, in several cases at the exact moment it was needed. And I’m not just talking about prayers for my own needs or the needs of this ministry. I’m also talking about people who have requested prayer or those God has brought to my heart that needed prayer. I’ve received reports of answered prayers for physical healing, increased job productivity, and improved relationships! Praise God! So, PLEASE, if you need prayer, feel free to let me know at office@officialshannonsmith.com. I pray for all of my partners in a general way every day, but I would be honored to pray for and with you in whatever specific way you need.
And that brings me to this month’s devotional encouragement for you . . .
Devotional
When you are praying or presenting a need to the Lord, I encourage you to pray based on His Word. Pray His promises!
1 John 5:14-15 says, “This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask ANYTHING according to His will, we know that HE HEARS US. And if we know that He hears us, we know that WE HAVE RECEIVED whatever we have asked of Him.” WOW!!!
Well, you might ask, how do I know what is “according to His will?” I’m glad you asked! His will is His Word - especially things that He has promised us in His Word. (I’ve heard that there are at least 7,000 promises in the Word! Ask the Holy Spirit to make a promise “come alive” to you - I promise He will!) One word from God will change your life!
Then when you have based your prayer upon His promise to you, you KNOW that it is His will and you can pray with CONFIDENCE that He will hear you (that is, He will agree with what you are praying because you are agreeing with what He is saying). By the way, that’s called FAITH. It’s believing that God is Who He says He is (Savior, Provider, Healer, Protector, etc.) and that He will do what He has promised (Hebrews 11:6).
Then v. 15 of 1 John 5 says that when we know that “He hears us” or that we and God are in agreement on our prayer, “we KNOW that WE HAVE RECEIVED whatever we have asked of Him.” Did you see that? We HAVE RECEIVED. That means we ALREADY have it. Jesus explained it this way in Mark 11:24, “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and IF YOU BELIEVE YOU’VE RECEIVED IT, it will be yours.” In other words, this is first a spiritual transaction and then it will manifest in our physical world. Again, this is what we call FAITH. I believe what God has promised BEFORE I see it with these physical eyes and I SHALL have it. So what does this look like in practical terms?
Well, just like in last month’s video newsletter, I told you that due to some difficult circumstances, this ministry was facing a bit of a down time in terms of bookings and finances. You better believe that I didn’t just mention that to you . . . I talked with God about it. I stood on His Word that He is my Source (Philippians 4:19, 2 Corinthians 9:8, and others), that He has called me into this ministry “to sing His praise to the ends of the earth” (the list of Scriptures and prophecies is too long to share), and that I will go wherever He opens the door (Jeremiah 1:7-8; Colossians 4:2-4). I knew, based on the Words He has given me (primarily from the Scriptures, but also through godly people He has put in my life), that He and I were in agreement about His will. So I BELIEVED Him and began to REJOICE before I saw the answer because I KNEW that I already HAD RECEIVED in the spiritual realm. Friends, if you wait to rejoice until you SEE the answer with your physical eyes, you aren’t really trusting God and His Word! God’s way - the FAITH way - is to believe you receive (in the spirit-realm) WHEN you pray and then you SHALL have it (in the physical realm). It may be in 5 seconds, 5 minutes, or 5 weeks, but you SHALL have it. But I don’t have to wait until then to REJOICE because I ALREADY have it!
A quick illustration: a child is told that the family is going to Disney World. They don’t wait until they get there to rejoice! They start smiling, laughing, and dancing around. They start planning and anticipating what it’s going to be like. Why? Because they BELIEVE their parent or grandparent who said, “We’re going to Disney World!” We do the same thing with Amazon. We order something, we pay for it, and we start acting like we HAVE it BEFORE we ever receive it. Surely we can have at least as much faith in God as we do in Amazon!!! So go ahead and rejoice NOW knowing that your good Father in Heaven is true to His Word.
By the way, to finish how God answered my prayers in July, we finished the month with bookings in 3 of the 4 weeks and we had finances come from unexpected places at just the right times. We’re not completely out of the woods yet - He is directing us strategically, but He has affirmed over and over again that we are doing exactly what He’s called us to do and that our best days are ahead of us! Thank you, partners and friends, for being a part of this ministry! Together, we are glorifying God, declaring His praise, and inspiring people to know Him!!!
And . . . we’re just getting started!

Thank you, not only to God, but to YOU - His people! Different ones of you responded to the appeal in last month’s video newsletter and God used you in some of the above mentioned miracles. I pray a 100-fold return on every seed that has been sown into this ministry! And thank you for your prayers. A prayer prayed in faith is THE MOST that anyone can do!
New Album Release
The big news right now is that we have an official release date for the new album - August 22, 2025! See the graphic above in this newsletter and click on it to check it out, hear a preview, and order yours TODAY. Of course, the entire album will be available on all streaming services and over time, I will have lyric videos and live performances of the songs on the YouTube channel. For those who do want a physical product, it will be available in both CD and USB formats. If you preordered at a concert earlier this year, your product will be mailed very soon and, in fact, you should receive it PRIOR to the official release date of August 22nd! Thank you SO MUCH for your patience - I do believe it will be worth the wait and you will be blessed by the great songs on this album.
